Rosacea Awarness

    This inflammatory skin condition is very common in Ireland, especially among women in the 30-50 age group with fair skin. Men can get rosacea too and tend to suffer a more severe version.

    There are 4 different levels of rosacea. Main signs include redness, flushing, tingling, burning, pustules, broken capillaries and eye irritation. It can show up on cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.

    Rosacea can flare-up and is best managed by your doctor, a skincare maintenance routine and avoiding triggers.

    * Triggers *
    Alcohol, spicy food, stress, temperature extremes, exercise and hot drinks.

    Avoiding harsh cleansers and alcohol laden products will help. An SPF product is essential to protect the skin as the sun is also a trigger.
